A Glimpse into Sunday School at Central

These are two glimpses into Sunday School. We were studying the story of Rebekah through science by learning how long it would have taken Abraham's servant (as well as ourselves) to cross the desert. We take one bible story from the bible, and over the course of 6-8 weeks learn about the story through a variety of different ways. We learn through art, music, storytelling, watching a movie, cooking, and even science. Its a neat way to explore the bible. Come join us on Sundays at 9:30 on the third floor!

K.I.D.S.

What does K.I.D.S stand for? It stands for Kids in Dynamic Service. The kids at Central United Methodist Church are learning how to become strong Christian leaders. They are growing, and being able to minister to others in many different ways. Some of our kids are acolytes, they are involved in our children's choir, and we do some mission projects along the way.

The Kids of Central are learning how to be ministers. As Christians we are all called to be ministers. No matter what age you are, you can minister to others for Christ.

Parent's Afternoon Out

What is the deal with Parent's Afternoon Out at Central? Its a time where the kids can get a break from the parents! After all they need it!

As well as it is a time for the parents to run errands they need to get done. Parent's Afternoon Out happens 3 times a year on a Saturday. Its a great chance for the kids to fellowship in a safe enviornment, under the supervision of some pretty awesome adults. Our next one is Saturday December 13, for more information call the church at (865) 524-1659. If you are interested in letting your child attend, they must be between the ages of 2-12, and you must let the church office know the Friday before the event, so there will be enough food.

We are learning a lot in the Kids Ministry at Central. Come join us!! Sunday School starts at 9:30, worship service starts at 10:30. We have Kids Club the first and third week of each month on Wednesdays from 5-7pm, and once a quarter we have Parent's Afternoon Out on a Saturday. Come join the fun!!
